Our Origin
One evening in 2010, while scrolling through Gumtree, Alan Cooke happened upon a small piece of land. Alan decided to make this farm home in the Swartland, on the slopes of the Kasteelberg, nestled between the giants of winemaking.
On this farm, there was a very small, very neglected vineyard. Only 100 vines, and at that time 20 years old. Sensing it was something special, Alan gave the old vines some much-needed attention and with the help of his neighbours, the Columbard grapes were harvested and processed into (not brandy as they have been traditionally used for) wine. And so, Aspoestertjie was born, the forgotten sister turned princess
